Community Advisory Board

Community Advisory Board (CAB)

The Community Advisory Board, also known as the “CAB” (established through Article IX of the by-laws for the Alliance for Flushing Meadows Corona Park), holds one permanent seat on the Alliance Board. This seat, represented by the Community Advisory Board Chair, speaks for the dozens of civic, social, and non-profit community groups and individuals surrounding the park. 

The CAB’s mission is to provide a coordinated community voice and affirm the community’s ongoing importance -- and inclusion in -- the Alliance’s goals for the park.  These goals include programming, activities, maintenance and operations, beautification, sustainability, and fundraising.
