FMCP Stewardship: Mugwort Mania

Invasive species are those that may not be native but find a way to thrive in various habitats. In the Meadow Lake rain garden mugwort is an invasive that is thriving in this wet micro-environment. Since mugwort grows using a creeping root system it is important to remove the plants we can see and the roots deep in the soil.  Join the FMCP team as we remove mugwort to make room for beneficial native plants.
