Earth Week: Prepping for Pollinators

  • Meadow Lake Boathouse, FMCP 34 Meadow Lake Trail NY, 11367 United States (map)

Join the FMCP team as we clear the area around the Meadow Lake Boathouse to prepare for the planting of pollinator flowers, later in the season.  This involves the removal of invasive grasses and weeds that are making it hard for native plants to grow. Pollinators are important to the environment because they help to maintain a healthy ecosystem. By planting native plants that welcome pollinators we will be helping to increase the pollinator population.

Participants in the 2023 FMCP Earth Week series will each receive 2 tickets to NYC FC’s match against FC Dallas at CitiField (7:30pm on Saturday, April 22).
