City Nature Challenge: Trails Care

Join the Environmental Stewardship Team as we kick off this year’s City Nature Challenge with a trails care event at Willow Lake! The City Nature Challenge is a 4-day international BioBlitz that calls on citizen scientists of all ages and backgrounds to observe and submit pictures of wild plants, animals, and fungi using the free app iNaturalist. We will be removing invasive species at the Pat Dolan Trail (Mauro Playground entrance) while inviting stewards to make observations for the City Nature Challenge along the way.

Environmental Stewardship Team: National Trails Day

Celebrate National Trails Day with the Environmental Stewardship Team by helping to plant along the Pat Dolan Trail. We will be adding more native plants to enrich the biodiversity of the Willow Lake Preserve. Increasing plant biodiversity beautifies the trail and allows more native animal species to call this natural area their home.

Registration opens 4/22/19. Please register here, as space is limited.
