World's Fair Walking Tour

Join us for a free guided tour of a dozen World’s Fair sites, structures, and monuments in the park and bring your own World’s Fair memories if you have them. Stops include the popular Unisphere, New York State Pavilion and Rocket Thrower, and also lesser-known wonders such as the 2,000-year-old Column of Jerash, the only kinetic sculpture in the park, and the spot where two 5,000-year-old Time Capsules are buried. No registration needed. Meet us at the green tent near the Unisphere. Weather permitting. Tours are led by Flushing Meadows Corona Park’s volunteer docents. If you enjoy teaching and speaking to groups, contact us to find out how you can train to become a volunteer docent for Spring/Summer 2020: vickie.karp@parks.nyc.gov
